You could probably mix the mayo in with the ground beef but I'm not real sure how that will taste. But no you cannot substitute it for the ground beef.
Nope...You got to have the beef!!
perhaps there was a typo? Were you looking for a vegetarian meatloaf?

Here is a recipe for Vegetarian meatloaf.

2 cups water

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup lentils

1 small onion, diced

1 cup quick-cooking oats

3/4 cup grated cheese (cheddar, swiss, jack or american)

1 egg, beaten

4 1/2 ounces spaghetti sauce or tomato sauce

Add salt to water and boil in a saucepan.

Add lentils and simmer covered 25-30 minutes, until lentils are soft and most of water is evaporated.

Remove from fire.

Drain and partially mash lentils.

Scrape into mixing bowl and allow to cool slightly.

Stir in onion, oats and cheese until mixed.

Add egg, tomato sauce, garlic, basil, parsley, seasoning salt and pepper.

Mix well.

Spoon into loaf pan that has been generously sprayed with Pam (non-stick cooking spray) or well-greased.

Smooth top with back of spoon.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30- 45 minutes until top of loaf is dry, firm and golden brown.

Cool in pan on rack for about 10 minutes.

Run a sharp knife around edges of pan then turn out loaf onto serving platter

If you were wanting meat but not groundbeef, try ground chicken or turkey.
So, when exactly does school start again?
no you need something with substance to hold it together.
mayo is egg yolk, oil, and vinegar.. think about it.
Kenny, what drugs are you on?
mayonaise instead of beef? then it would be mayoloaf and not meatloaf.
you are so bored you can't wait to get back in school.
no not really, you would have to use that soy burger or whatever it is to take the place of the beef, you can put mayo on your meatloaf before eating it if you want, but the idea of ';meat loaf'; is the meat or meat substation.
You want to use the mayo INSTEAD of the ground beef??

Uh, ya, I want what he's drinking.
Sure you can...why not......I just substituted 2 minutes of my life on your question.
Only if its lite mayo.
Mayo won't make a good beef substitute, but you can substitute another type of ground meat like pork, veal, chicken, or my favorite, turkey.
LOL

Example #1 of why men need wives =)
It's called meatloaf for a reason, not mayo loaf. No, no. no. Tofu maybe, not mayo.
