There is no recipe in the world that would make me like meatloaf.

Loaves of meat are disgusting.
3#'s ground round, onions, celery, garlic, bell pepper, eggs, breadcrumbs (Italian style) salt, white pepper, accent; mixed together and baked @ 350* for an hour; topped with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese.
MY moms, yeah definitely my mothers. Thanks for asking.

Mix the above. Place in loaf pan. Bake at 350 for one hour or until meat is no longer pink. Serve with brown gravy, mashed spuds, and salad. All American!

2 cans of tomato sauce 1/4 cup brown sugar and a table spoon of mustard

taste if not tangy add more mustard

pour mixture over loaf after u have drained the grease off and simmer for an Hour its really good
Oh, I love meatloaf. Here is mine. And I make it myself, not website.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2 Lbs hamburger meat

2 eggs

1 cup of bread crumbs or crushed crackers

1 can cream of mushroom soup

Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, a little bit of chili powder, all to your taste. Don't add a lot, just a pinch of this and that. Sorry I don't really have exact measurement, because when I make meatloaf, I don't measure things. When I mix it up I always use my hands. After mixing it up by hand place in a 13 by 9 inch baking dish and pat it down.

Put in the pre heated oven for 45 minutes. You will have to check it on occasion, don't just leave it in there without checking. After 45 minutes drain it carefully. Don't pour it out of the pan, or get burned, be sure to use potholders. Then you cover with your sauce and heat until it bubbles, usually 15 to 20 minutes.

You didn't say what kind of sauce. You can buy them if all kinds of flavors. What my family likes is this one. I mix a large can of tomato sauce with about a cup of bar b que sauce and pour over meatloaf. I made that one up myself. Like I said cook it for about 15 to 20 minutes until sauce is good and hot, be careful not to burn. Take it out, and enjoy.
my recipe is exactly as # 7 %26amp; it turns out perfect

My Mother's...

It taste great but, it's darn scary to watch her mix it up...

She started with several pounds of hamburger... some chopped onions...eggs...

After that... anything in the cupboards or fridge was fair game!
Add a pkg of dry onion soup mix to a bowl in which you have added about three pieces of bread, torn into bite size pieces and 1/4 cup milk. Mix together and add 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground pork or veal. Add squirt of ketchup, mustard, or bbq sauce if you like. Add 1 beaten egg. Mix all together. Add breadcrumbs if mix is too sticky. Bake in 325 oven for about 1- 1 1/2 hrs depending on how much ground meat ie: 1- 1 1/2 lbs.
This is my own and it is absolutely great and no one can fail with this:

Put about 1 kilo of mince meat in a bowl.

Add some chopped parsley ( I sometimes change and add some other herb- be adventurous)

Add I big finely chopped onion

Add six slices ( small) dry bread you have, break it into crumbs on top.

Add 1 tablespoon of tomatoe paste

Add a few sprinkles of Worchestershire sauce.

Add 2 big tablespoons of powered milk.

I small stock cube to a cup of hot water, mix and pour into bowl with other ingredients.

Add salt and teeny bit of white pepper powder.

Now make all the ingredients into a paste using your hand and kneeding all the ingredients in very well.

Empty the ingredients ( it will big one big lumb of meatpaste now) onto some foil. Using the foil turn the lump of meat into a loaf shape.

Now fold close the foil and fold the edges on the top and the side ( not tightly fitted - just right) till all wrapped.

Put into a roasting pan filled with water- not full. Put in oven on bottom but not directly touching floor of oven - just on a rack on lowest shelf. Leave for an hour and a half about- low to medium heat ( half way) Turn over meat loaf in it's foil half way through- water won't seep in.

When it is done you will find it a golden colour- perfect! It is very tasty!! Just put on platters with garnish and slice. Even slices don't break. You can make this with hard boiled eggs in the centre or parsley stuffing and you can also cover it in puff pastry for a fancy look. My family always have me make this for them.
fry the meat, and make it supplanted into the bread, that is already very good
My mothers, for me the best meatloaf on the whole world!thanks for asking and for the two points!
My wife's. But sadly, she's not with us anymore.

I just baked a meatloaf this afternoon. It was called ';busy day meatloaf';.

I'm not sure how it'll turn out. My last one wasn't that hot.

If you've got a recipe you'd like to share, I'd appreciate it.
Here is my fave:

2-3 pounds hamburger

3 eggs

1 sm can tomato sauce or paste (sauce is best)

1 tsp garlic salt

1 package (not box) of Ritz crackers crumbled

salt and pepper

1 sm onion chopped ( I don't like onions but they give it better flavor and I pick them out)

Press into a large bread tin, Bake at 350 for about an hour to an hour and fifteen mintues. Pour sauce over and serve...

Sauce:

2 cups ketchup

1-2 TB mustard as desired

1/4 cup brown sugar

ENJOY!
If you take a meatloaf recipe, put half of the mixture in the pan, put a layer of pickles and your favorite cheese, sliced, on that, then put the rest of the mixture on top of that. Makes it a little better than your average meatloaf. (mix hamb. with: 1 egg,a small handful of crushed crackers or a little bit of oats-you'll be able to tell how much-worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, a splashlet or two of tobasco sauce, and a little garlic salt. Simple and easy to do.) Instead of ketchup on top- use your favorite B.B.Q. sauce.
add a box of stovetop stuffing mix to it, instead of crackers or bread, and dried onion soup mix
Meatloaf:

1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

2 1/2 pounds meatloaf mix (or pork and beef combo)

1/3 cup grated Parmesan

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

2 large eggs, beaten

Gravy:

1/2 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, smashed

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

3 tablespoons tomato paste

1 bay leaf

1 (15-ounce) can low-sodium chicken broth

1 (15 1/2-ounce) can crushed tomatoes

1/4 cup grated Parmesan

1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Toast the bread crumbs in a dry skillet over medium heat until browned and fragrant, about 1 minute. Transfer to a large mixing bowl and set aside. Add the olive oil, onions, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet and cook until onions are tender, about 8 minutes. Let cool slightly. Add the onions to the bread crumbs along with the meat, cheese, and Worcestershire sauce. Toss and mix gently. Add the eggs and stir to coat the meat completely.

Transfer to a foil-lined sheet pan and gently press into desired shape. Bake until an instant read thermometer registers 160 degrees F in the center of the loaf, about 45 minutes.

Tent the meatloaf with foil and let rest for 15 minutes while you make the gravy (or you can make the gravy while the meatloaf is baking).

Gravy: Cook the onions, garlic, and oregano in the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 6 minutes. Add the tomato paste and bay leaf. Stir until paste turns brick red and garlic is fragrant, about 3 minutes. Add the chicken broth and crushed tomatoes. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to maintain a simmer and cook sauce until it thickens, about 5 minutes. Whisk in Parmesan cheese, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Discard the bay leaf and transfer the sauce to a gravy boat. Slice the meatloaf and serve with the gravy.
I can't give you an actual recipe, but 35 years ago when I started trying to get vegetables and cereal into my children, I developed methods that would help me out.

I only make it in the food processor. Not the meat, just the additions. Mine always had onion, garlic, carrots, sometimes leftover cooked veggies, catsup, eggs, oatmeal as the binder. Whatever seasonings you like. I would blend it quite smooth and then mix in a bowl with the meat and pack in pans.

The great thing is all the things you can get into your children without them always knowing. Sometimes I would layer it with sliced potatoes..Then your favorite topping.

Ah...';mystery meat';. Good food!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Using heavy duty foil, cover a cooling rack that fits into your

roasting pan. Poke a few holes in the foil so some of the fat

drains during cooking.

***

1 lb ground chuck (not TOO lean)

1 large egg (or 2 medium sized eggs)

1 box of beef flavored Stove Top stuffing

1/2 cup (more or less) fat free half and half

1/4 cup (more or less) Blackberry Merlot wine

1 medium onion, diced

2 ';ribs'; celery, diced

1 or 2 TBL Dijon style mustard

1 or 2 TBL prepared Horseradish

1/4 cup (more or less) ketchup

*1/2 cup (more or less) uncooked old-fashioned oatmeal

(depending on how sloppy the mixture gets--you can omit

this item if you like)

1 or 2 TBL Beef Bovril (undiluted)

Worcestershire Sauce (a few good ';squirts';)

Herbs/Spices:

1 or 2 tsp Celery Seed

1 or 2 tsp Parsley

Freshly ground Black Pepper (to taste)

1 TBL Paprika

1 TBL Garlic Salt

1 tsp Celery Salt

*** *** ***

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and incorporate well.

Use your (clean) hands to form into loaves (I usually get 2 nice sized loves from this).

Place on a rack in a roasting pan, add about 1'; water to the pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 90 minutes.

Allow the meatloaves to ';rest'; for about 10 minutes so they don't fall apart when you slice them.

** When they have cooled completely, I like to slice them down and freeze slices for future meals. The Stove Top stuffing makes really thin slices possible after the loaves have completely cooled down and makes a great meatloaf sandwich the next day!

Here's a gravy recipe I like:

Mushrooms, sliced (about 1/2 pound)

1 small onion, diced

1 TBL butter

2 cups beef broth (can be diluted Bovril or canned beef stock--

College Inn makes a good one)

1/4 cup Blackberry Merlot wine

Celery Seed, Basil, Parsley

about 2 Tbl cornstarch dissolved in 1/3 cup COLD water

In a saucepan, melt the butter, add mushrooms and onions and sautee and stir until brown but not burned.

Add Beef stock and stir.

Bring to a simmer and slowly add dissolved cornstarch, stirring well. This will thicken quickly, so keep an eye on it.

Add herbs and seasonings. Add the wine now.

Reduce heat to low and keep stirring for about 2 minutes.

Cover and remove from heat.

Hope you enjoy this!
I have a couple twist that I often do when I want something more than a traditional meatloaf.

love to add some spaghetti sauce to the meat mixture so it will be very juicy and moist when it cooks and then I top it with a chopped tomatoes and ketchup chutney in the last 10/15 minutes so that can caramelize and oh it's good...

Another twist is that I make kind of spread the meat in some plastic wrap then I stuff it: (and I have different things)

** hard boiled eggs and roasted peppers

** garlic sauteed spinach, black olives and feta cheese

** crispy bacon and cheddar cheese

** saute onions, mushrooms and swiss cheese

then I grab the plastic wrap and I use it help me roll the meat so I can form the log and I form the ends by hand so my stuffing doesn't come out. Then when baking I tend to do it at a lower temp so it cooks through and when its oozing out MAMA MIA !!!
No set recipe but my favorite ingredients ground chuck 2 eggs bread or crackers crushed onion diced salt and pepper bake until almost done and glaze with a sauce mixture of ketchup and brown sugar. I bake mine covered then uncovered after I add the glaze.
